Held in Grace is a sacred retreat day of renewal for mothers who have experienced the death of a child or grandchild, whether the loss was recent or many years ago.
This gentle, faith-filled retreat offers grieving mothers a quiet place to rest, reflect, pray, and be received exactly where they are in their grief journey. Through guided reflection, journaling, peaceful connection, and the sacramental grace of a Mass of Remembrance, mothers are invited to bring their sorrow, their love, their questions, and their memories into the tender presence of God.
At Sacred Sorrows, we believe there is no timeline for grief and no "right" place a mother should be. Whether your heart feels raw, weary, numb, tender, or quietly carrying sorrow beneath the surface, you are welcome here.
Held in Grace is a day to step out of the demands of daily life and into a sacred space where your loss is honored, your child is remembered, and your heart is gently held. It is a place to encounter God's love, find rest in His presence, and discover that even in sorrow, you are not alone.
Held in Grace is also the beginning of ongoing meetings—Circles of Hope—that offer non-therapeutic spiritual support for grieving mothers who desire connection, companionship, and a deeper faith walk after the retreat day.
Come as you are. You do not have to carry this alone.
You are seen. You are loved. You are held in grace.
